Your illusion.

Reforming society is a fool’s dream. To reform society, one must first reform. In the refinement process, one must deeply understand one’s goal and the purpose behind it. If it is to prove your knowledge and presence, sorry you have opted the wrong place. This is because, everybody in society is aspiring to do the same.

You must set higher goals. Something that nobody has thought off. Then you may go to the other extreme. You may choose to teach society something in contrast.

But again, to teach somebody, you must first master the subject. Thus, you take up the alien course of spirituality as it teaches one to master the art of detachment. This is against the ideologies of the society today. 

Being conscious that you’ll teach society spirituality, you start learning it. On finishing the course, if you turn back at society, you are still a neophyte in the subject and hence unfit to teach. But still if you go out to reform society you will instead be battered.

On the other hand, if you have realized the subject, you will know that there is more to learn and there is nothing to teach society. You’ll be dawned with the highest realization that: Society exists till the time you exist, thus to reform society you must reform yourself.

It is just like light exists till the time you keep your eyes open and darkness exists till the time you close your eyes.
So the journey of spirituality is the journey from darkness to light and from the false notion of the existence of society to the realization that there existed no society.
