Avdhuta

Image
Individuality ceases to exist when the soul takes charges of the individual. No-mindness follows this state of consciousness. When one is connected with the absolute truth there remains no separation from it. We become so identified with the universal form of existence that, attachment to a specific body we bear fades away. We no longer are possessive ourselves and thus view the world with a vision of equanimity. When the individual identification like: I am feeling, I am thinking, My family, My life, my idea, opinion etc, no longer drives one's life he transcends the plane of mundane life. His mind is muted because of which the full-minded people (ignorant people) consider the former to be mad or sick. Our scriptures call such enlightened beings as Avadhuta, the one who has renounced all worldly attachments. Such individuals cannot be termed as 'individual' as the sense of individuality is absent. Thus, their existence (as viewed by material beings) is nothing more ...

Relish this loving relationship...

Image
Lord Shiva is the universal father. In this picture, the beauty of baby Krishna and the affectionate glance of Lord Shiva (like a father) is captured effectively. This depicts a scene from the Krishna-Lila, where Lord Shiva disguises as a 'baba' to bless the divine Baby Krishna. In fact, this was just a 'reason'  to relish the ambrosia that flows from the divine form of God. Both Shiva and Krishna cannot live without each other. They are devoted to each other in a loving bond. Shiva disguising as a Brahman signifies the depth in their love for each other. Even in a helpless condition, where baby Krishna is bound by the love of his mother, Yashoda, He makes it a point to meet Shiva. Unlike material love, the relation of the two are not bound by the form. Their expression of love is independent of their form they assume.  Lord Shiva made it easier by disguising Himself as a Brahman as this drew mother Yashoda to bring her infant to seek His (Brahman's) divine b...

Nobody loves !!!

Image
Love is a mere imagination. It is a hype created by the mind. Nobody, truly loves the other. In fact, it is a facade to impress the other. This impression created helps the other to satisfy their instincts with ease. Love comes and goes with time and age. It is a temporary phase, a play of the hormones. It has got nothing to do with the internal realm of emotions as this emotion leads to satisfying the body. Our heart knows no love of this sort. It is designed to remain in the devotional service  of God. It knows the path of devotion or unconditional love. This emotion is of a very high kind and is unseen in this world. Thus, by talking about love, we waste lifetimes. Every birth we love somebody as we bear a body. Thus, for sense gratification, we chant 'love, love...' True love signifies union while the love we talk about ends right after satisfying our senses. It is no true love, because separation follows it, death being the ultimate reality.

What is our next Birth?

Image
We have ignored God throughout our lives. Instead of utilizing our precious human birth to achieve the highest goal, we choose to pursue degraded professions that involve our mind. The one who has directed his senses towards material comforts and pleasures is the most unfortunate. What is the use of this human body, if we live like animals. We do not deserve this gift, as we satisfy our mind. Instead of 'transforming this animalistic mind' into 'divine' we, 'the divine' are transforming into 'animals'. This human birth is perhaps our last chance to realize the true goal of life. If we do not hinge onto spiritual discipline now, we shall surely be cursed with an animal body. This is because it is the most suitable body for our ill bred mind. If we refuse to bear sanity by adopting spiritual discipline, then we shall continue to enter the lower domains of consciousness. This cycle will take us farther from our goal until we are granted the Human Body...
