It is said that we should depend on God, but what is given here? Let us understand this clearly. When we are surrendered to God completely, we do not own any skill, thought or action. Because, this is the definition of COMPLETE SURRENDER. But, the Lord is ever merciful. He is unlike any other master. In the material world, if we surrender, we are treated as slaves. In fact, surrender means slavery in the material world. Master claim ownership of our our very existence. But, the spiritual laws and definitions are absolute and true. God, takes extra care of his surrendered devotees. They are dearer to God than any other. They are his closest, His own children. So, out of love, God blesses the devotee with his supreme will and power. As a concerned father, he will grant us only those instruments which are suitable and safe for us. Money is destruction. Our minds crave for security, but is the greatest stumbling block itself. When our mind is let free into a halucinatory world, hopes start sprouting. There are many posts related to HOPE, but today I will be discussing 2 important methods which can be uses to cut down the 'hop'. 'Hop' here refers to speeding in the reverse order. Only when we associate ourselves with our emotions and actions do we realize our existence. The driving factor of this incorrigible and spontaneous phenomenon is our mind. When we take ownership of our thoughts,  generated by our mind we get susceptible to the sorrows and happiness presented by material life. Thus, becoming conscious of our thoughts we realize that we are separate from them. They are not a part of us but they are trying to become a part of us. They succeed in their endeavors the moment we associate with them. Introspecting our thoughts, lights up our dark mind, making way for reality. Mind is not a part of this 'self' and hence it is apart from our existence. We can stop this cycle of the mind by surrendering them to God and by leaving it to His will alone. Most of us are under the false belief that we are leading a life. This is because all our perception of life is viewed from different angles. Or simply, we all have a different experiences of life. Life is an esoteric subject. If we tread to unravel life without guidance, we will be doomed. As we bear negativity in our mind the projection of life too, will be distorted. Thus, we shall surrender to the mentor, or guru who in turn is surrendered to the Lord. Then our journey towards excavating life shall be supported by spiritual vigor.  A baby monkey claps its mother, fearing that it shouldn't be let alone while its mother hunts. We are these fearful monkeys who clasp onto the material world, which in turn like the mother monkey does not care for us. On the other hand, a kitten takes no effort for its survival. When a student learns Mathematics (for example), he is assured to make mistakes. This is because he has not understood the subject completely. In order to understand the subject, the student works hard,under the guidance of a teacher. Now, this is a crucial point that decides the student's future. If the student submits himself to the teacher and accepts the teachings, by shunning away his own infinitesimal understanding of the subject then he is assured to succeed. But, if the student independently takes charge of acquiring knowledge,he is going nowhere. Now think as to what this example means in relation to our own life? We face problems in life, due to the mind. Our mind (which is the source of all problems) takes ownership of guiding us through life. This is the biggest of all problems! But spiritual discipline shall enable us to break through this problem. We are inflicted by our own thoughts (problems), produced by the mind and hence need to be treated immediately. ...

Every act we perform in the world has already taken place. Before we act on something, the thought of performing that act has taken place in the mind. The mind is that dark cave where no light exists, the abode of ignorance. Any activity taking place under the commander-ship of the mind will lead us astray. This is because the mind restricts the light of truth to illuminate it. When we leave the association of the mind, it simply means we abandon unconsciousness. We should solely depend on the supreme lord and follow His words, the truth. Where truth resides, no falsity exists and where no falsity exits no fear. Thus, where there is no fear, the effect of the mind is transcended. No thoughts having ill intentions can ever arise as now all thoughts shall pass under the guidance and supervision of God. Awareness is God.

A devotee is a surrendered soul. He has surrendered his all to his Lord. If that were really true, it goes without saying, that the Lord response by providing wisdom and intelligence to his devotee. Thus a true devotee is one who is enriched with the light of knowledge. If he lacks common sense and just makes a show of devotion, he is verily a hypocrite. When you are knowledgeable, you show command over a subject or life-science, but not humble, that knowledge is of no avail. It is arrogance. The devotee is free of all arrogance and hence, owing to his humility becomes knowledgeable through the simple act of surrender. A so-called knowledgeable man, through arrogance, loses all his wits and gets slapped by time.
