Smiling when you don't want to

Image
Smiling when we don't feel like is a disease. This disease deals with the mental framework of our mind. In other words, anything that doesn't fit under the spiritual laws is a disease. Smiling when we don't feel like is a disease because it is governed by the mind. We often smile to keep the other happy or rather to keep ourselves happy. Even if there is momentary displeasure while exhibiting that smile on our face, we simply do it because that might fetch us a ground to seek happiness. This implies for all those who smile even while feeling uncomfortable. Just simply ask yourself: "Why am I smiling when I don't mean it or like to do???" The answer is hard to hear but it is the truth. We have selfish motives that compel smile, against our will. So, the first step to undo all the things that you did not like is to stop doing them again. We cannot alter our past but surely build good new ones. Consciously working towards our faulty mind, through sadhan...

Transparency and Love

Image
As described love in many posts earlier, love is sacrifice. Yes, sacrificing your selfishness is the dawn of love. Love cannot be achieved as it is not a thing or a stage to reach. It is nowhere apart from you, but it is you, yourself. It is the revelation of the 'self' that is hidden by the dirt of ignorance, marking the fulfillment of love. One can only love when one has to give something to the other. Now giving something is only possible when the other lacks it and you have it. Everybody is ignorant. Thus, love is only established when one gifts an untainted self, devoid of the ignorant mind. So, to truly love means to become one who is priceless, a spiritual entity. Here, 'spiritual man' does not mean devoid of love, but it means only love, love in the truest for. Even selfish and opportunists love as defined by the world. But, this is not love. So the reality of love goes beyond the definitions of the world. It is not as propagated in the world. One must t...

Prayer or Bribery

Image
Sincere prayer is true prayer. This is what captivates the Lord's attention. People may chant the Lord's name for  years but no refinement is traced in their attitude or approach towards life. This is because their intention towards prayer is not genuine. They have never prayed! Such individuals are selfish and try to strike a deal with God. Such deals go in the domain of Maya devi. She tests the intentions of the seeker and if genuine hands him over to the master. If not she blesses him with the sorrows and comforts of life according to the fruits of his karma. Thus God pays heed to sincere prayers only and hands over the rest under the supervision of Maya Devi. Genuine prayers are identified by the degree of submission. One should pray for the strength of renouncing the sense of ownership. This is the most essential part of Sadhana. We should disown our very selves and surrender unto Him. Plead to Him for His protection. Now, the ones who misinterpret chanting of mant...

Why good people become bad?

Image
It is very hard too find people with genuine intentions. As something is better than nothing good people are better than bad. However, we do find contrasting shades among such people too. Their colours change as per the situations they encounter. This means that their mind is functional in the material aspect. Mind compels one to accept Good and Evil 'masks' to our convenience. When man has no principles to follow, he ends up falling prey to the mind. The mind itself has no direction, so abiding it will land man nowhere. Good people can never turn evil. This is because true goodness is achieved through following the principles of truth. A man of truth can never be overturned or ruled by the mind. Evil perishes in the light of truth and Goodness is achieved. Thus, true goodness is a ray of the divine. On the other hand, we see people turn evil! We should know that true goodness is not a mask. In the world the so called good people are the most evil. They are opportun...

Only be selfish

Image
Selfishness is a term used to refer negativity. It is considering oneself as the priority. However, this is the most important tool for a sadhaka, (or one practicing sadhana). Note carefully: Selfishness has both negative and positive approaches. Negative selfishness is usually the act of satisfying oneself by causing inconvenience to the other. Here the intention is to satisfy our senses by causing harm to the other soul. This is an act of devils. At the same time, selfishness is the most important tool for progressing in spirituality. As always, spirituality is the practice of rising to the conscious planes. This includes conscious living, association, talking, etc. Selfishness in this case is the only tool that helps safeguard one's spiritual practice. Without it one cannot avoid associating with material people or the ones who engage in satisfying the senses. A spiritual man disassociate from the world, his relatives and his friends. Only if one uses selfishness to serv...

Relation of Goodness and Hypocrisy.

Image
Goodness and Hypocrisy seem to have no relation. However, they are deeply interconnected. These two qualities take birth in one's mind. The mind is habituated to manipulate situations according to its own whims and fancies. It uses the weapon of goodness to achieve its ' selfish motives '. This makes 'goodness' a growing craze among people today. Bearing dubious personality  tarnishes the character of a person. This means that projecting 'goodness' for selfishness (or satisfaction of one's ulterior motives) brings about hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is the act of murdering our conscience. Our inner voice is heavily clouded by goodness, which in turn is rooted in selfishness. Thus, goodness instigates one to verily shun the voice of our conscience. We estrange from the path of truth and hold onto goodness. Under the garb of Goodness, we can easily win the hearts of the immoral as flattery is its addon. What is the use of this goodness that can direct one towa...
