Arrogance in Spirituality

A devotee is a surrendered soul. He has surrendered his all to his Lord. If that were really true, it goes without saying, that the Lord response by providing wisdom and intelligence to his devotee. Thus a true devotee is one who is enriched with the light of knowledge. If he lacks common sense and just makes a show of devotion, he is verily a hypocrite. When you are knowledgeable, you show command over a subject or life-science, but not humble, that knowledge is of no avail.

 It is arrogance. The devotee is free of all arrogance and hence, owing to his humility becomes knowledgeable through the simple act of surrender. A so-called knowledgeable man, through arrogance, loses all his wits and gets slapped by time.

This might seem contradicting to many, but the fact is that practicing positivity is not as beneficial as you think. It is a form of ignorance. Because, positivity involves the mind, it can never be positive. Remember, any act involving the mind is negative. Practices that help dewiring the mind is positive. Such practices abate the wandering of the mind. The movement of the mind is always flimsy and not unidirectional, so are hopes. We hope not one thing, not once, but many things and many times! Glories of 'Knowledge'

Knowledge is not heritable. It is not an asset, thus cannot be possessed. It is not available in books which can simply be acquired through mere reading. We must understand the nature of 'knowledge' first. Knowledge is the source of existence. The very idea of distinguishing one from other that streams from our thoughts is the result of enough churning of knowledge. It is the possibility to grasp reality, an aid for us humans to get a glimpse of the ultimate truth. It is the repository of truth and hence is beyond conception. This is not mere glorification of 'knowledge', but just a mere introduction of it. When man is an infant he cannot understand the difference between fire and water, until experienced or taught. Why do I feel cheated?

It may seem a nightmare when you realize that the your loved ones are no more the same. It may be either your friend, spouse, children or other relatives. Your confidence in them has drastically reduced. Why now, today your loved ones seem alien to you? The answer may be vague, perhaps a mix of emotions. Any change we perceive in the world is a result of the mental makeup of oneself and the other. Your interaction with your loved ones was determined on the basis of your mental framework which may be contrasting to your present mental framework. We find ourselves in a dilemma when things don't workout the way we expect it to be. Nothing seems to work. Our confidence is battered every time we try to rebuild it.
